Wow what a wedding season 2018 has been! As you can see from my last blog I haven’t posted anything since July as I just haven’t had chance to sit down and catch my breath! I’ve had the most amazing August and September and I have been so lucky to be part of some truly beautiful weddings and worked with the most fantastic couples.
As I’m still catching up from my 6 weddings in September (!) and preparing for 3 more in October I thought I’d do a quick round up of what I was up to in August……
My first wedding of August was at the gorgeous School House in Weeford. This was a new venue for me and I was trilled to arrive to a gorgeous little hotel and restaurant with a beautiful marquee at the back of the venue for weddings to be held in. It was a gloriously sunny day and as I walked around to the back of the venue I was greeted with green fields and the most beautiful set up for an out door civil ceremony.
For this wedding I provided the glassware for the centerpieces and mirror plates and scatter crystals. I also worked with another great wedding supplier to provide biscuits in the shape of movie boards and the Oscar award to fit in with their Hollywood movie theme.
I also provided a sweet table, which included a suitcase filled with jars of sweets and at the reception area of the marquee I set up a vintage suitcase filled with popcorn cones for the guests to take on their arrival to the venue.
I really loved this wedding theme as it was something a little different and so much fun to work on.
My second wedding of August was at the beautiful Sommerford Hall in Stafford. I had the pleasure of attending this venue earlier in the year for another wedding i dress in March (click here to take a look at my previous blog for details on that wedding), so I was so excited to go back!
For this wedding I provided white lace sashes on silver chiavari chairs which looked absolutely stunning with the style of the room. The tables were decorated beautifully with floral arrangements by the lovely Jo at Floral Secrets. The couple also hired my white Victorian post box, which was places on the Hall’s entrance and looked great against the dark wood of the staircase.
My final wedding for August was at the beautiful barn at The Bell Inn in Belbroughton. This is such a lovely intimate venue that has just started to hold weddings this year. For this wedding I supplied hessian sashes and placed sprigs of gyp in each of the sash knots. This worked perfectly with the rest of the décor the couple had provided and achieved that beautiful rustic style they wanted the achieve.
All three of these weddings had totally different styles and I loved being able to work with each of the couples to understand the vision they had or their wedding rooms and help them bring it to life.
