Last weekend I had the pleasure of providing my sweet cart and post box for a lovely couple holding their wedding breakfast and reception at the Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield.

The booking was made over a year before the wedding and the bride had a clear vision from the start of what she would like her wedding room to look like. This was great for me as I was given a clear brief of the style and theme of the wedding, which helped me decorate my sweet cart and post box to fit in perfectly with the room. The wedding theme was rustic with hessian and yellow décor for the room and sunflowers were the main feature in the wedding flowers.

I set up my sweet cart and post box in the small reception area leading to the main wedding room. The sweet cart was decorated with bunting that had been hand made by a friend of the bride and groom. I had provided measurements of my sweet cart months before to ensure it fitted perfectly so it could be used and be the main décor of the cart. The yellow and hessian bunting looked great on the cart and the little sunflowers that had been sewn on were the perfect finishing touch.

I provided a selection of the bride and grooms favorite sweets as requested, and I added in as many yellow coloured sweets as I could, such as bananas, lemon bon bons and yellow flying saucers, to fit in with the wedding colour scheme.  

The post box was personalised with the bride and grooms details and a hessian bow was added. I also placed a rustic jar full of sunflowers next to the post box to tie it all in with the theme of the wedding. Both the post box and sweet cart were sprinkled with wooden heart confetti to add the final perfect finishing touch.

My sweet cart and post box are one of my most popular props to hire for wedding décor. As they are both white so can be teamed up with any colour and décor and make a real statement in any wedding room.
