Last weekend it was all eyes on the Royal Wedding, but I had my own special wedding styling to focus on as I had the pleasure in being booked to dress a wedding at the beautiful Moxhull Hall.

I worked with the bride for some time to get the right sash shade for the wedding room as she wanted a bright blue with a hint of green in them. After lots of toing and throwing over email and several sample sashes being sent in the post we finally found ‘the one’ to match the bridal party’s outfits perfectly.

I arrived at the venue on 19th May to glorious sun shine, so the wedding ceremony was able to take place outside. The bride opted for simple aisle styling and had sashes tied to each of the end chairs, so the wedding colour scheme was subtly added in. As the colour was so vibrant the simple bows really stood out on the chairs.

In the wedding room white chair covers were placed on each chair with the blue sashes tied onto each one. The bride asked for the top table chairs to be styled slightly differently so the bow could be seen on each chair, so they were all tied to the side, which looked very effective.

The overall effect of the room was stunning as the bright blue sashes were the only colour in the room and they really stood out against the white of the chair covers, table cloths and marquee drapes.

The last thing I provided was a large white Victorian post box, which is a great prop to use in a room dressed in this style. Again, the bight blue sash tied around the post box really stood out against the white post box and was a great prop to use in the reception area of the wedding room for all guest to see as they walked in to the room.

My day was made perfect by finishing this gorgeous wedding set up and getting home in time to see the royal wedding with my family……. perfect working day for me!
