Wow what a busy few months it’s been…….and so far this month and next month are set to be the same! As I am in the mist of prepping for another wedding this week I thought I would take a break from ironing 60 chair sashes (yes, I do iron all the sashes myself!) and reflect on what I have been up to over the past few months.
I started out the month of May with the hire of my 4ft LED LOVE letters for a wedding evening reception at the Salvoy Suite in Oldbury. The letters looked great raised up on the stage and I was sent a few images of them lit up on the evening and they looked very effective. The bride contacted me after to thank me and let me know she had lots of positive comments about them from her guests.
The following 
week I provided chair covers and sashes at a wedding at the Quality H
otel in Dudley. I used hessian sashes with white lace which looked beautiful and totally transformed the room. I got to meet the bride on the morning of the wedding as she had a sneak peak at the room and she was so pleased with the results, which of course made me a very happy venue dresser to see that reaction!
I finished the month of May of at the stunning Chateau Impney Hotel. Here I provided my sweet cart, post box and wishing tree all dressed in champagne gold with a touch of pink to fit in with the rest of the wedding décor. The sweets of choice from the bride and groom were bubble gum fizzy bottles, bananas, white mice, cherries and sour strawberries just to name a few! I also received some lovely feedback from this bride who was really happy with the decoration and presentation of my hire items.
I kicked off June with a photoshoot at the newly refurbished Lightwoods House in Birmingham. I was part of a team of local business who worked together to create a beautiful wedding setting at the house. I provided chair covers and white lace sashes for the wedding room and decoration for the beautiful main staircase. This is the first photoshoot I have been involved with and I had so much fun working with very talented suppliers in the industry to create some beautiful images.
Towards the end of June, I had a very busy week setting up for two weddings in one weekend. The first was for an evening reception at Henley in Arden Golf Club where I provided black chair covers, table cloths and aqua sashes. The sashes looked stunning against the black chair covers and really helped to transform the room in to a party room.
The second wedding I dressed for was at the beautiful Redhouse
Barn in Bromsgrove. I provided my suitcase for the cards to be kept in at the entrance of the venue and my sweet cart in the reception room. Both looked stunning decorated in hessian bunting and sprays of gyp to match the wedding room décor.
Again I had some lovely feedback from both of these brides telling me how pleased they were with the services and items I supplied for them.
The months of May and June also involved me attending two wedding fayres, meeting for a number of bridal consultations and taking bookings for 2018……..it’s all busy busy busy here!
Well that’s it from me for now…….I need to get back to ironing my sashes! Look out for my next blog update for July and August with lots more info and images of what I’ve been up to.
