Well, it’s been a while since I have blogged! I have had the most wonderfully busy 2021 wedding season and it’s still going! Usually, my work starts to quieten down in the autumn months, but here I am still styling away!
I feel so fortunate that my business survived lockdown and I feel like I have come back stronger than ever. From June – August this year I have provided décor for a whopping 29 weddings!!! I’ve covered all styles from rustic to classic elegance, feathers to flowers, vintage to modern, intermate to large and I’ve loved every one of them.
I thought I would just give you some details of a few of my favorites so you can see what I’ve been up to and the different styles I have created.
Elegant White Wedding
At the start of the summer we were still in lock down and I was so pleased that so many couples decided to go ahead with their big day.
I styled lots of intimate weddings, and although socially distanced, this wedding is a great example of how we were able to still make the décor look stunning and work with the space we had.
This couple chose a white theme for their decor with luxe chiffon vertical chair sashes. We added eucalyptus at the base of each chair and pops of colour in the aisle and arch flowers. This created a simple, timeless and elegant style.
Feathers and Ruffles
I don’t usually work with feathers so it was such a lovely treat to be able to style this wedding.
These tall white feather centerpieces coupled with blush pink ruffle hoods really did create the ultimate glamour style for this wedding room.
Classic Rustic
It feels like so long since my hessian and lace chair sashes had been out so I was so happy to be booked for this classic rustic wedding last month.
The bride decided to double up the hessian sashes with white lace to add that little extra detail to the chair decor and also hired my gorgeous leather vintage suitcase. To tie this in with the theme I added a hessian and lace “cards” sign on and a hessian onto the base of the suitcase with scattered wooden hearts on top – perfect prop to add in to the room and a great alternative to a post box.
Bunting Galore
This wedding was a little different for me as I was hired to provide only the ceiling décor. I was given a very clear brief from the couple of what they wanted and the style they were looking to achieve and we had a few consultations to make sure I got this spot on for them.
The bunting was hand made by a family friend and tied in perfectly with their colour scheme of sage, navy and silver. I also added some different sized lanterns onto the bunting to give a little additional décor to the bunting.
I installed the bunting to run across the ceiling along with wire LED lights which would come to life and really stand out on the evening when the room transformed into the reception.
As you can see from these images, the bunting running across the ceiling with the floral arrangement from Tuck Shop Flowers looked absolutely beautiful.
